The Vision
Our Vision comprises 2 simple questions:
Who are we and what are we called to do?
Who are we?
We are Children of God.
Our identity comes from who God says we are. The Bible teaches us that we are God’s children:
“But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.” John 1:12 (NLT)
“The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.” Rom 8:16 (NIV)
“How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!” 1John 3:1 (NIV)
Because we are Children of God, our Core Value is Love.
“We love because He first loved us.” 1John 4:19 (NIV)
We are recipients of His great love which has changed us so much that we love people and want them to become all that God has for them. It is our nature to love God and to love people.
What are we called to do?
The word “BUILD” encapsulates our vision and everything we do at our church. Your browser may not support display of this image.
This can be broken down to:
o Build Me
This is about self discipleship. The objective is to take responsibility for our own personal growth so we can be fruitful. The more we grow, the more influence we have, the more people we reach for Jesus and the more the Kingdom grows (John 15:1-8).
o Build You
This is about discipling others. The objective is to intentionally build relationships with people and take them on a journey of discovering God and helping them live out His plan for their life. We lead people to build their lives upon God’s Word.
o Build Community
The objective is to ensure that:
- people are connected, are cared for and are caring for others,
- people have an opportunity to develop and use their gifts for Kingdom purposes.
One of the key ways of doing this is to develop and multiply Link Groups.
Link Groups have very clear outcomes:
i) Build a growing relationship with God
ii) Build healthy relationships with people (i.e.Build Community)
iii) Build the group so it can multiply into other groups.

o Build the Kingdom of God
The Kingdom of God is within us (Luke 17:21) and Jesus says that as believers we are Salt & Light (Matt 5:13-14). Therefore we are called to establish God’s Kingdom wherever we have influence. Every member is a minister (Eph 4:12). We therefore equip disciples to minister to their people group by finding a need and meeting it.
